Petro Tsybenko: Institute of the President did not prove its value

Author: Serhiy Doiko

Everything will be normalized, when we get rid of the president's institute. It adds tense in to the life of the country. Therefore this institute is not necessary.

For the last three years parliamentary elections were announced thrice. "We have already got used to them as to the sunrise," MP from the CPU Petro Tsybenko told the  IMC in an interview.

According to him, the current decree on the parliament dissolution proves only one thing - the president Yushchenko tries to improve his image before the early presidential elections. "All this directly related with the presidential elections," he said.

- Formally the president has all grounds for parliament dissolution. But the very he created these grounds. There is nothing position in these elections for the people of Ukraine.

- What is the benefit for the president if his party can not get to the parliament at all?

- I meant the benefit as next presidential elections. The matter concerns that he wants very much to remain for the second term. Therefore he should make some uncommon actions.

- How do you think, why BYuT is against of early parliamentary elections? Her rating is high. Maybe they understand that this is scenario of the president to deprive Tymoshenko of her position in the government?

- Undoubtedly all these are related with the government, in particular with the PM Yulia Tymoshenko.

- Maybe it would be better for the country to hold simultaneously parliamentary and presidential elections?

- The CPU stand for it. But you understand that our influence is too little in the VRU.

- What can you say about the attendance of the people at the coming elections? December 7 is better than December 28...

- I understand that it is possible that people will not come. And they will be right. To elect the VRU thrice for three last years it is too much.

I do not exclude that the President is involved in all these in order the early parliamentary elections not to take place at all. In order to rule Ukraine as an imperator up to the Presidential elections.

- One says that in such a way the president is struggling against the parliamentarianism in Ukraine?

- Everything proves the supposition that the President Yushchenko is on the way of destruction of the parliamentarianism in Ukraine. It seems to me that he does not care about it and is on some other planet. All leaders are concerned about the financial-economic and bank crisis and do all possible to overcome it. But our president held four visits abroad for last 1o days and their purpose was only one problem - Ukraine's joining NATO. But early elections will only put back Ukraine from European perspectives

- When everything will calm in Ukraine?

- To my opinion, everything will be normalized, when we get rid of the president's institute. It adds tense in to the life of the country. Therefore this institute is not necessary.
